For everyone freaking out, the puppy was nervous because it was his first time. She was not abusing him at all. She had to teach the puppy to get through the grooming process. You can’t stop grooming if a puppy flinches or whines. She was holding his chin, NOT his throat. The feeling and noise of a razor would scare any puppy during their first groom, but they soon learn that the razor isn’t scary.

The dog was being choked, some of you say? No. The puppy was not being choked. He was breathing perfectly fine throughout this entire video. Yes, he was scared, but not injured in any way shape or form. It is good for poodles to get used to grooming at a young age so they don’t end up being scared to death as an adult. Poodles don’t naturally shed and with their thick, curly coats they can get matted easily. They need to get used to this so please do your research before commenting about things that you have no idea about. Have a good day.

The majority of people commenting obviously don't own poodles, or do not have to groom their own dog. Most people just drop their dog off to the groomers not knowing how their dogs react or how their dogs are being treated. This puppy was very well behaved, compared to my 1 year old toy poodle who didn't get groomed with clippers at a young age, and now it takes two people just to shave these sensitive areas. I'd like to see all these people complaining try and groom a dog.

I groomed this puppy again about a week ago.  I had not groomed him since march.  He was perfect.  He was happy to see me and stood very still for his grooming.  So, you may think I was not nice to the puppy, but I just did what I had to and got the grooming over with and the puppy was fine with it.  So, no matter what you say I know the puppy was not traumatized and he is a happy, healthy friendly puppy.

human babies cry when we wash them, so does that mean we shouldnt wash human babies at all because its not pleasurable for them? The dog was not hurt in any way so why is everyone complaining?

Good job. The groomer looks very gentle and gives him little breaks in between. Sometimes kids freak out about their first trip to the barbershop. Puppies will do the same but he is not harmed.
The groomer got all the important spots that need to be groomed. She even seemed to do the nails correctly. I don't see any blood so she did it right.

Whoa, people. This lady was very patient and compassionate with this pup. She didn't hurt him and everyone knows that puppies are drama queens, just like any baby. Poodles are better off getting used to grooming early in life.

It's very important to groom poodles because their fur easily get matted which can cause health issues. It's best to introduce a puppy to grooming at a young age so it can get used to it.

Puppy's do cry and yes it does make you feel sorry for them. But how are they ever supposed to get used to being brushed, bathed and clipped if they are not introduced to it at an early age?

She treated this puppy better than my mom did me as a child! So perfect and loving. What are people talking about?!

I feel bad for the groomer because she was real good and you can tell how much she cares for the puppy. She didn’t pick him up by the throat, she was holding his chin and the dog was in the air because puppies like that are so light yet they are strong. My dog is so strong that he grabs my arm like a sloth all the time and pulls him self up into my lap.

This puppy is fine! The first time is always the hardest on the puppy. He was hurt and she did a really good job telling him he was good and okay. As a groomer and poodle owner, he is fine! Oh course he was scared. IT WAS HIS FIRST TIME!

Everyone needs to stop freaking out. The dog was fine he just wasn't used to the feeling and the noise. And, he wasn't hurt by holding him by the neck. Clearly none of you know anything about dog grooming because that is a natural reaction of a dog being groomed for the first time.

she did fine with cutting his hair. Puppies aren’t always comfortable with hair cuts cause of the loud noise just like some whine about baths. I know this was 2 years ago but people need to chill. I’m picking up my standard poodle puppy this weekend and thought this was a great video !!
