Matt Chan and his custom Rogue barbell

Rogue athlete Matt Chan stopped by the Rogue fabrication plant a few months ago to draw out his idea for the perfect barbell. We liked his idea so much decided to make his bar available to the public. Featuring a passive center knurl and more bar space between the outside knurling for shin comfort, Chan's signature bar is the newest addition to our line-up of American made barbells.

I was skeptical about the center knurl because of the damage it can do to the throat area but it sounds like he has the same problem an fixed it. Matt Chan for the win

Consider every IWF certified bar (Eleiko, Werksan, Zhangkong, ect) Each one has a center knurl, but they're all the same passive knurl. Everyone assumes "center knurl means aggressive knurl" but a passive knurl is awesome.

I hope this format increases in popularity because it's a much more versatile than say the 'standard' (Rogue, Ohio) bar or a powerlifting (B&R, Power, Westside)

I compleetly agree, I too am not a big fan of no center knurl. This bar is perfect and well worth the extra whatever money ($10-20) extra!

I recently just moved into a new apartment and their gym has everything except a straight bar. I did the whole crossfit thing this past summer and fell in love. I was thinking about buying my own bar and bringing it down with me so I could do the rest of my workouts. Anyone know how much a bar like this would cost me?
