Installing LEDs in normal reflector type headlights may lead to inconvenience to the vehicles coming from opposite side as the beam is scattered in all directions....it points very sharply on the eyes..

Looking at the high beam spread of light, I would definitely not like to be in a car coming in opposite direction. It would be simply BLINDING. And also illegal.

Excellent review of Osram LED H4 lighting. I had installed the same in my Fiat Punto. Provides excellent lighting under normal night driving conditions, but a big disappointment during Rainy and Foggy conditions.
Hence I went back to Halogen bulbs.

Most of the LED bulbs installed in halogen light assemblies will not give a focused beam, but it will give a glare that is very annoying to the oncoming traffic which can be dangerous as well.
Been using Philips Xtremevision H4 halogen bulbs in my i10 for over 6 years now. Has focused beam that actually helps in night driving without blinding the oncoming traffic and is more than enough for night highway driving.

Reflector setup of halogen head light is different from led headlight. So there will be dark spots if you instal LED

LED may be the brightest of a lot but Halogen ll remain the all time king for visibility in all weather & ll kind of roads,
Don't go for LED & HID as its only a market gimmick, Halogen bulbs are best for visibility & it's cheapest too.

Kindly project the beam on a wall and share a beam pattern of these LEDs.

There should be a clear cutoff line when the low beams are ON. If the cut offline is not discreet, then these LEDs shall dazzle oncoming road users even on low beams.

Personally I feel that yellow lights, that is halogen gives me better visibility. Blue LED makes it a little confusing to understand the colour of the objects in darkness.

We don't need to change headlights when the on comers use dipper when ever required. Unfortunately people are unaware or their negligence causes lots of accidents. 😑

Humne dono gaadi me use kiye one swift dizire n another Hyundai i20 me still working no problem at all no fine till now all over India n Nepal n bhutan hum jaate hain frequently no problem at all
