The Nintendo Wii was capable of having the South Africa World Cup Game mode with all the 255 nations, all stadiums, etc. And now we’re in 2022 with the new gen consoles, and we can’t even play all the world cup stadiums, and the content got limited and boring

Disappointing, indeed. I still have my FIFA World Cup 2014, and I enjoy the sheer number of national team choices. It's a thrill to qualify with teams like Haiti, Liberia, and others.

I quit fifa a Long time ago, but it is pretty sad to see EA not releasing stand alone world cup games anymore since 2014. I Remember having a huge blast with 98, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 world cup games. I might have considered returning to the franchise if they did😢

World Cup 2018 was great!! All 12 stadiums, and well made match schedule, correct days time for each match etc.. it was really good mode. I cannot believe what they gave us here now !! Its riddiculous... they pissing on us right now, laughing at our poor faces

I used to love taking random counties to the world Cup in the older games. Genuinely spent so many hours doing full qualifying and as far as I could in the finals (if I qualified) such a shame its gone so downhill

Looks ok I guess, I’ll definitely be doing a run with England on it, but I do miss the standalone World Cup games from 2010, 2014 etc, with features like Captain Your Country, Story Of Qualifying and Road To The Fifa World Cup. This looks like a carbon copy of Fifa 18’s World Cup mode but with just 2 new stadiums. 👍🏻

Number of bad things:
- The Cameroon kits are missing
- You can’t edit players or the numbers. Kimmich never wore Nr.2 and Müller Nr.10 but somehow they have them in the dlc and you can’t change it.
- Also you can’t submit a 26 man squad. You and your opponents could basically play with everyone.
- And i can’t put in players like Moukoko who are in the game.

I used to like the South Africa World Cup game where u went through the qualification stage and had to try and qualify. I found this WC very boring I played one match and quit.

Even in the mobile version, the World Cup mode is disappointing. There's not so much unqualified teams to choose from. I kinda wish they added the Philippines there so I can be proud of winning the World Cup with the Philippines. It's merely like the tournament mode from FIFA 14 Mobile where you don't train the players and just play the actual matches.

Although I have a FIFA 14 Mod at my phone with more national teams (63 in total) and no generic kits. The vanilla version only has 45 teams which is not even enough to make series out of 2026 World Cup.

Yeah but people would bitch when fifa had the WC only games. People would complain that it was not worth the money etc. So, there you go. I only purchased the WC only games because I don’t care about club play. So I’m disappointed too.

And in addition to that, they barely fixed all the problems we had before this update. You still get the bald players, the lack of 2D pictures and real faces for players who already had one. The USA uniform is fine inside the WC mode but outside, the short number is white, therefore you can’t see it. Same with England which still have the red numbers of the previous shirt. How can those things happen? Do they even check their work before making it public?

The reason why Cameroon's NT doesn't have real kits in the game yet is due to the Cameroon's FA being under a contract dispute with Le Coq Sportif, which were supposed to make their kits for the World Cup. The FA unilaterally ended their contract and signed with One All Sports (a local brand), who released the "World Cup kits" a few days ago. Le Coq Sportif sued the Cameroon's FA and a court ruled in their favor, this whole mess has made it unknown so far what kits will be used in the World Cup.

What's up with fully generic boots for all players?
What's up with just 7 players om the bench and literally 40-man squads with players like No.34 starting for AI teams?
