I like how he’s not 12 cuz that’s a 60 foot bullpen

When your clocking someone, your supposed to be behind the catcher, it’s more accurate that way

Has anyone noticed that this video was 2 years ago and all the comments are super recent

He could be throwing like 75 if he got some good mechanics

If the mound distance is 50' (common for age 12) minus 5' for forward stride then the distance is 45'. The timing is 0.44 from time of release to catcher's mitt. That's 69.73 rounded to 70mph.

I threw 85 in little league, threw 98 in high school in little league, though impressive, lots of velocity for this young dude good structure, good deliverance, excellent control definitely has a future. Good luck kid.

My son was throwing 75 at 13 with great mechanics. Then, mom sent him to a silver spoon summer camp. Once he came back, he quit because baseball became "too much work". Still a bit upset about it.

That’s gotta be a misread unless I’m throwing 80

Is it good that I'm 13, and throw 47-56. But, I have good mechanics, and I'm very consistent with strikes, but most times I get hit off of.

I had a monster 6’1 12 yr old kid in my league who hit monster home runs and his fastest pitch was 75 mph

Props for making a vid, but bro that isn’t 70. Try having the radar gun behind the catcher. And mechanics wise, try separating earlier, having a farther stride, and using your legs more. Good luck!

Freshman Year, I was 5'3, 115lbs and could hit 74-75mph consistently. Now, Junior Year, I'm 6'0 165lbs and struggling with arm issues, (Stress Fracture and Tendonitis). But I can put up a solid 87 mph on my fastball, is this good, I'm pretty accurate

Not sure if this is your son and don't take this wrong, but I coached years and years of American legion baseball, varsity High School baseball and college baseball and it's very common these days for a good size 12-year-old boy to throw 70 mph. I coach Mike Leake who went on
