Very similar recipe I've made for years:
Chicken: a couple cans, some shredded chicken, whatever you have
Mix with 1-2 cans cream of chicken til creamy, with added pepper.
Cook 2 cups of white rice
Put cooked rice on bottom of 9x13 pan
Spread chicken mixture on top of rice
Sprinkle 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese on top of chicken mixture
Crush a sleeve of saltine crackers while still in sleeve and pour into bowl
Melt 1/4 cup butter and pour into bowl of crushed crackers and mix to coat crackers
Sprinkle crackers on top of cheese.
Bake until heated through, cheese is melted and crackers are slightly browned.
This will become a favorite. I learned it in college. Now my college kids make it and share with roommates and friends, and they still ask for it when they come home. Enjoy!

My Wife fixes this From time to time almost the same but she doesn't care for canned chicken.She also sautes onion in Butter & adds that.Since we have slot if turkey left over from Thanksgiving at will be adding that thus time.Goid Stuff! Thanks Patara!!

This is my favorite chicken casserole! I’ve added broccoli. I’ve added egg noodles. It’s good and everyone loves it.

Dear sister, I just made your recipe for the first time, pulled it out of my oven and put it in a dish. I can tell you right now I am going to eat this whole thing myself lol! I am single, so I only did a half recipe, but I'm home this week with covid and this is the perfect quick supper! It tastes wonderful! Thank you for sharing this! I don't know if you will see this or not BUT I just found your channel by accident and it caught my attention and I just had to watch till the end. I loved it and so did my sons who are just learning to cook . My youngest decided to make it and everyone LOVED it. we subscribed and hit the like button. Looks AWESOME, but I may try that stove top stuffing instead of the crackers. We LOOOOVE that stove top stuffing stuff! I'll also add chopped onions and mushrooms too!

Yum...this is a version ive never tried. Will be making this one this evening.
I usually do a really simple version as well.
2 boxes of cooked stove top stuffing
2 cans of chicken
2 cans cream if chicken on top.
Put in oven on 400 till top is golden brown. Easy peasy 😊

I make this but I precook about 4 cups of rice and put that in my pan and put the chicken over it. The rest is the same as yours. Delicious.
