This one really hurts for us Wisconsinites. Grew up listening to Ueck on the radio with my grandpa. He passed away in September, and now Ueck. Baseball in Milwaukee will never be the same.

We'll miss you handsome Bob O. I remembered him on WrestleMania. What an incredible life and career. 1934-2025.

He only did 30-some games last year but it's going to be really hard not having him around anymore. Milwaukee baseball has lost its soul.

RIP Ueck

“Spahn returned to Boston one more time to pitch in the fourth Jimmy Fund Game on June 3, 1963, as the Red Sox finally defeated the Braves, 5–2. There was a meager crowd to watch the 42-year-old pitching wizard throw the first inning for the Braves. In an odd reversal, the Red Sox were now drawing more spectators than the Braves did in Milwaukee. The attraction for the Braves had cooled after the team’s phenomenal record through the 1960 season, with three first-place finishes (two pennants, one lost playoff), four second-place finishes, and one third-place.”
