Brashear and Cooper are both Dem Governors in Red States. NC has double the population as KY. Both have law degrees and respect the Rule of Law and the Constitution. However, Cooper is out of office in January, and Brashear just got reelected to another 4 year term. My coin toss would be for Cooper - it would be less destructive to state legislation.

I'm thinking Jamie Raskin for VP! Mark Kelly is a great guy, but are we sure AZ is safe from losing a D Senate seat if he resigns to run as VP?? I believe Governor Katie Hobbs a Democrat would select someone to serve out his term until 2006, but I'm unclear on that for sure? Mark is a popular Senator and I think it's best he says as Senior Senator of Arizona after Kyrsten Sinema leaves office in 2025. We'll see if Ruben Gallego wins, it's unclear which Republican he'll be running against, and Arizona is a swing state with a Democratic Governor, but a State Legislature controlled by Republicans.
