What..?
With almost 20 years of experience I have never considered crossface to be a problem. The opposite, it is good opportunity. By doing stupid things like that, there is easy opening to escape bottom position of the side (and thus automatically also the crossface).

EDIT: I didn't mean crossface is *always* mere opportunity. I meant when done improperly like in the video, then it is mere opportunity to escape. That said, I don't think crossface is much of a problem anyway, just normal part of side control. My bad, my miscommunication.
