The map UI in this game is brilliant. I love it and they don't make it like this anymore, it's a shame. Gun jamming too (like in Fallout 3!)

Loved this when it came out, played it a lot, finding the jackals voice recordings and following the narrative gave it a very ‘heart of darkness’ vibe. Great game from a great era of gaming

That was a great game. One of my favorites from ps3 times was Mercenary's 2 - World In Flames. Don't think they made that on PC.

Far Cry 2 and the original Assassin's Creed were such a big part of my early gaming days. It's crazy how far Ubisoft has fallen with their two flagship franchises.

Do the enemies respawn when you leave an area? That's why I stopped playing Far Cry 2 the first time around. This was immersion-breaking for me, so I stopped playing.

unfortunatly i suck at modding so i bought this game on sale a while back n after trying to get the mods in it i wanted i just couldnt get it to work as it should!

So i had to downl a pirated version that was already pre modded n just had to start it n play(yes i know its illegal n some dont like it but i bought it atleast 1st before i used a cracked version or atleast another version of it that was ready n modded 4 me to play it as i wanted!)

Sadly the stores do not sell games with the option of mods in them that would been great if i/we just could go into menue n choose what mods i like n then play it=a good idea but mayby hard to do because alot of people involved when it comes to modding i gvuess!!

This is my favorite Far Cry game. Every Far Cry game after this was just a clone of Far Cry 3

Never liked far cry 2, they changed way to much from the first one which was groundbreaking on the graphical area and had and okay gameplay.

No other Far Cry game has a better world then FC2. More Destructible environments, no x-ray vision, more grounded in reality... the best Far Cry game, but with a few flaws.

Only issue was NPC checkpoints, they'd repopulate if you walk 10m from them - so annoying

I tried to play this but the tiny fov and constant enemies made it a bad experience. A mod that changes those makes it a done deal...
