Pure old school death metal.
100% Energy.

I love how there are two completely different guitar tones, one is a tight distorted metal tone, and the other is pure sludge

I like how the band is enjoying & playing with feeling and not just going through the routine like some big bands do.

I remember when these guys just came out... crazy how time flies. They have really mastered their sound. Great recording BTW..

I probably commented on here before but damn, Obituary is like scotch, the stuff just seems to improve with age. Obituary for fucking life

More than 25 years since I listened to this guys for the first time and they sound even better now, amazing band, like the best wines.

These guys sound so fkn clean live, on my must see em live list now. None of that louder is better bullshit that A LOT of bands seem to think like.

Well back in time enough justified as I am free to seek the unknown
crawled inside as I realized and I fought with these these visions in my head

Lost with time
A near scare
A feat that’s rare
Rare dark hole
Where stone and terror sells
That bleeds death through the bone

Lost your time is up
Set aside and out
Free to seek the undead
Blood bodies me
Blinded walls
They trap and call
And visions in my head

Lost with time
As cold veins and blood stains
A dark hole
Where stone and terror sells that bleeds death through the bone

Well back in time enough
Justified as I’m free to seek the undead
Crawled inside as I realized
and I fought with these
Visions in my head

Remember this kids, a cautionary tale. When you make the walk back to your car from the campsite to fetch more beer, remember your keys! You might just miss a band you wanted to catch that afternoon.

I remember when "Slowly we rot" came out. I was a teenager.

That guitarist is the perfect mix of Allen West's old school style and James Murphy's brilliant melodic shredding and the rest of the band is locked and loaded and ready to wreck you as only they can, as usual. This is a Very Good Thing!
