TCL has become very impressive recently. If they continue improving I'll have to consider it as part of my big 3 TV brands. Thanks for your honest work. Sony is slacking and hoping no one notices😂

I feel so satisfied knowing we were right all this damn time! Besides color and performance, we have this thing called price!

People that are doubting you and saying you’re wrong are just mad because they spent $3000 on a TV that gets crapped on by the TCL at 1/3 the cost I think it’s hilarious. You know what I could do with that $2000 I could buy, a decent home theater receiver a nice 4K Blu-ray player and a really nice center channel $3000. Wow oh I’ll say yes the three big names Sony, Samsung and LG in my opinion are just way over price and I can afford to buy one, but I’d rather not. I rather save the money and get a TLC and have something that’s even better than what those three manufacturers can put out.I purchased a Sony OLED in 2023. It was their budget OLED I believe I paid $1600 for 55 inch. It was brutal absolutely brutal. It was so dim I could not even watch it. I returned it. And got the tcl QM8 . In quantum thank you for your pictures settings.

Brand Loyalty.... I am the same way when it comes to my choice of OLED TV. As for THIS comparison, it is gonna be tough to tell the Sony Fans their TV isn't as good as a brand that many see as inferior.

QMA looks dark when compared with B9. Also, @Quantum, it would be great if you place the TVs absolutely side by side without any spaces between and at the same level without inclination..

I feel like for the last three years, both TCL and HiSense have been slowly improving on their TVs and you just have to give credit when credit is due. The flagship TVs this year have been very flawed. The positives are good, but the negatives to me outweigh the positives. Personally for the flagship TV brands I will just wait until next year. We’re Sony will have a OLED in 2025, Samsung will get rid of that Matte screen and hopefully that one connect box too, because it’s holding back the specs, LG needs to stop being stubborn and go with the QDOLED panel before they fall behind.

Technically Sony does source their LCD Panels from TCL.

I’m drawn to the color on the TCL. The Sony, to me, looks washed out

Quantum, if you can, try to keep this Sony and put it up against the TCLQM7. If you can’t, I understand, it takes a lot to do these kind of comparisons with the Little funding you have, but it would be an interesting comparison For these two TVs to go ahead to head. compare.

I would say you're right on most points, however there is one problem with your tests .You're tvs need to be identical in size 55/55 or 65)65 and symmetrically lined up with each other and as close to each other as possible looking straight at th camera, same height and only one cm from each other, I think one other YouTuber does that and I think it's tech Steve, then the comparison would be far more accurate, because different size televisions have different number of dimming zones especially with the TCL, Sony and Hisense which affects everything like brightness contrast .
I do agree that Sony looks bad especially for the price point .Even if it was the same or barely better at 1300$ more its a ripp off

They trade blows back and fourth. For a supposed premium TV yeah the Sony isn't worth it.

What are you gonna do guys, trolls are going to troll, we all know for the past four years Sony has fallen as bad as Rome, dead, after the success of the UHG and the UHH Heisson has fallen as well. TCL since last year Has decided to pick up the ball where the other brands have fumbled, and like I said it before and I’ll say it again, last year black levels were not too far off from all ED this year the right next to them. TCL only has to work on processing And color, their contrast will be dynamic if they can get the processing to use it properly on a frame by frame basis. Their motion has already surpassed just about every TV on the market, their black levels are basically OLED, TCL get that color, work on a better processor, maybe work with AMD to give you guys a 12 core 24 thread rising to get the job done better, I’m sure they can come up with something. 1:32

37 black level is insane! How the heck did this even get past quality control? It’s like Sony doesn’t even have any anymore, but yeah people just can’t face the truth. It’s sad but that’s the reality we live in! Sony Bravia Fog had me laughing so hard! Thanks again for being you dude!

Wow, I just saw something online. That’s super crazy, the 85 inch of this TCL 2024QM8 is just about the same price as this awful 65 inch Sony, bro that’s insane.

The Bravia 9 had its ass handed to it by a 2018 Samsung QLED. . . What else is there to say!

The one on the right is brighter but colors are washed out. Plus the refresh rate looks off. the Color on the left TV looks way better but not as bright. And there is no flickering on the left one.
