Custom Field Not Showing Up Even Though it's In the Page Layout

Have you ever created a custom field, put it on the page layout, but had a user tell you they can't see it? Are your users not able to see the fields you've created, even though you can see them in the page layout editor? This video walks you through the settings in the custom object wizard to make sure your fields are visible to the right profiles, and on the page layout. You'll also check a user's profile and page layout assignments to see if that is what is hiding the field. We'll also take a look at the Field Accessibility page which shows you in one screen the visibility of fields to particular profiles. We'll check visibility by field, and then we'll check by profile, since depending on the situation, one way might be faster than another.
