Mandolin Mondays #209: Nashville-based young mandolinist Nate Burie finishes off this year of Mandolin Mondays with a classic fiddle tune played on his custom Sorensen "Pacifica" model by the name of "Lu."
Nate Burie is a young mandolin star on the rise. Originally from Wisconsin, he got his start at the age of 9 playing with his siblings in The Burie Family band. Over the many years of playing music with his family, they released 5 studio albums and toured across the US, Canada, and Europe. In the spring of 2018, Nate joined Summer Brooke & Mountain Faith, America’s Got Talent contestant and 2016 IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year band from North Carolina. Nate toured with Mountain Faith for a year before relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, where he currently resides.
Most recently, Nate has just joined the award-winning bluegrass band Special Consensus. He'll be joining the band on mandolin for all tour dates in the upcoming year, as well as recording on Special C's forthcoming record.
