That's just a standard pleading. He's seeking a lot more than a million. I am so sad for this little girl and her family.

I don’t blame him for suing I would probably do it too but not this quickly I wouldn’t be able to think about suing anyone this quickly I would still be crying non stop every day all day long for months and months it’s hard to believe he’s doing it so fast.

I have all of my fathers family in Wise County, it is so miserable. It's so scary for everyone too, because of how rare and unexpected that is to be. Justice for Athena. < 3

He needs to sue himself and the step mom for having that beautiful baby girl in that dam run down she'd not fit for a child to be in. How does someone not check on a child for an hour and then they say it was usual for the step mom and her to argue.

Even Stevie Wonder saw that coming.

Why isn't he also suing his wife who instead of taking care of Athena, had argued with her and left her unattended long enough for her to be outside accessible to the monster who killed her. When's that lawsuit coming? Should've filed that 1 first.

The L.E. that didn't take the allegations of Horner s.a. a 16 yr old a few yrs. prior could of prevented him from doing what he did ...

Did he have a history of behavior to indicate a likeliness to be a danger to others primarily small children? This is the question. The father should sue his wife, the stepmom.

What do they want? More invasive background checks making it difficult for men to obtain employment? Do they want more gov't bureaucracy and supervision? Maybe a national registry of pizza delivery drivers???

They had no knowledge he would commit a crime. I dont see how a jury could find them liable.

Wise decision. FedEx will settle out of court. No way they allow that to see the light of day, in a civil court.

Maybe he could afford a bigger shed to house his remaining children in.

To be miserable or to be miserable with money.. It's not the fault of FedEx but that's how it goes

Outrageous that FedEx is being sued. The package was delivered on time.

Opinions are immaterial. Case law shows that the head company, that hired another company to do work for them contractually, are also responsible for damages. Again, unless someone has case law suggesting otherwise, move on. Opinions don’t matter, case law does. It’s required to make a mature legal argument.
