My Mom served in the Marines for 11 years. She is still a badass today at 99 years old.

I am a Marine Corps Veteran, as a Woman, I am proud to have made it through Parris Island Boot Camp. Tough training!

I love watching her psych herself up for the next bunch of new recruits. She has a job to do, and she has to be tougher than nails to turn these new recruits into Marines.
If she does her job correctly, these new recruits will be proud to refer to themselves as *A MARINE* for the rest of their lives.
Just as I am proud to call myself *A SAILOR* of the *United States Navy.*

I was never in the military. However, in my early 20’s, I was an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. I had many Marines and other Military come to me for their flight reviews. To say I felt inferior was an understatement! These folks could outfly me backwards, forwards, and upside down! Even though they knew this, they always treated me with the upmost respect and as their authority figure. They were by far the most kind, respectful humans I have ever interacted with! Thank you for your service!💛

The screaming you hear in drilling is quieter than the screaming you'll hear in combat.

One of my best friend in high school enlisted in the USMC...he married a fellow Marine...they BOTH became Drill Sergeants ..talk about a squared away house...even their grass stood ramrod straight !! They both retired as Gunneys..he teaches Jr. USMC ROTC at a local high school...she is happy home maker....

I'm an AF veteran. But I'm proud to say that Marines are most sharp, respectful, and friendly people I’ve met that take their military service seriously.

To the people who criticize the instructor yelling, this isn't about the instructor, it's about the soldier being able to keep composure the enemy or protestor looses theirs.

On a run in boot camp, I had started to walk and one of the drill instructors told me to put my glow belt across my shoulder. But I totally misunderstood her...I thought she was asking me if I wanted to quit, so I said, "No ma'am!" I still cringe thinking about that lol

I would be shit out of luck as a new recruit in that squad, because I didn't understand a freaking thing that drill Sargent was yelling. Seriously.

respect to these women, fellow men who say otherwise are insecure😆mad because women are fighting for your country while you would never be able to do what they do. God bless all of our soldiers, man or woman🙏🇺🇸

I was stationed with this DI. She was badass and hella goofy. Seeing her go off like this was dope!

As retired Marine I'm more then happy to see the women do anything they are capable of doing. But lowering standards to accommodate them is NOT an option.

I always thought Marines were some of the dumbest, cruel, and sadistic people ever, but that’s come from movies and other sources. Most of them I’ve met are some of the most sharp, respectful, and friendly people I’ve met that take their military service seriously.

I feel their pain, I went through same hardcore phase in the U.S. Army Basic Training at Leonard Wood, back in 1983; back then the Drill Instructor would be your face 247 until you successfully made through Basic Trng & AIT...years later I become a Proud Desert Storm Veteran 12 B Combat Engineer, and when I got my Honorable Discharge after 8 years in, I've joined the U.S. Army National Guard to only find my self a few short years later pulling Guard duty at Ground Zero. I'm glad I had the upmost opportunity to join the Military and serve my Country like these young Brave Ladies.
