All Hollywood VFX Removed! What Movies Really Look Like

It used to be that what you saw on a movie set would pretty much be what you saw in the final movie. If you wanted to have a mountain in the background, you'd have to go to one.
However with modern technology, CGI has made it possible to have that mountain in the background without even leaving your home. Just whip up a green screen and you're good to go!
This advancement in technology has meant for some big differences between what is filmed and what we see in the final movie.

Here are some Hollywood movies without the VFX applied!

I got a degree in RTF (radio, television and film) but ended up going a totally different direction down the road and became a registered nurse. The only thing I hate is everything I learned in pursuing my RTF degree totally takes the fun out of watching movies, especially these days when, like you said, there's much more CGI than most people realize.

Can you imagine how uninspired today's actors must feel, having to stare at nothing but expanses of green screen. I'd go crazy. Props to these actors.

I love videos that highlight the invisible VFX that we never even question. In Gravity, there are portions of the scenes where parts of Sandra Bullock are entirely CG and comped together to allow it to look like she's floating. In Civil War not just the airport was CG, but also pretty much every time Spider-Man and Black Panther are on screen they are VFX. There are lots of instances where movies that aren't about fantastical events use CG to enhance composition, to put actors together that couldn't be there on the day or just to create an idealized environment. The film 100 Foot Journey is a good example of this. Cheers!

There are often times where I wish certain movies used more practical effects than CGI, but the things that we can achieve with CGI is truly amazing and fun to watch.

One of the few times i actually love yt recs.
Just got a green screen, already knowing how to key..
and my mind is going crazy with ideas.
It's crazy what you can do as long as you know how to edit.
I bet some of these movies could have saved a lot of money doing it right..
Then again, it depends on how much they're paying these people,
doing the ocd style of editing required.

I don't get it when people complain about replacing backgrounds with vfx.
They've always done it, just it used to be with a painting on a piece of glass infront of the camera lined up to the horizon line
