I assume. that if the Cluster was not internet Access based, that the head node is where communications between the cluster and a LAN would take place?

so cluster is set of hosts/nodes with one special one that meant to be only for logon node to connect to outside.

I've figure it out that the meaning of cluster is different from place to place or it depends also on the platform for example Hadoop and cassandra .

Please correct me if needed.
