The Secrets of The Navy SEALs Hell Week

Показать описание
The crazy facts about the Navy SEALs Hell Week. The US Military’s Toughest Military Training
One of the big events during hell week takes place on the mud flats near the Tijuana River. Here they’ll make you crawl around in the mud and then do physical and stealth exercises all the way through the night. But hilariously these mud flats are right next to the mexico border, so it’s not uncommon for Mexicans sneaking into the US to run into a bunch of mud covered Navy SEALs in the middle of the night.
Over the course of the 5 and a half days hell week lasts for, You’ll run more than 200 miles and do over 110 hours of Physical training. That’s the equivalent of doing more than a marathon and a half everyday. To make matters worse, a lot of this running is done whilst carrying your IBS standing for inflatable boat-small.
The cherry on top of all the running is that on average recruits will get less than 4.5 hours sleep. Thats for the full 5 and a half days btw. But the amount of sleep you get is related to how fast your conduct all the exercises such as paddling, swimming and running races. If you’re group is particularly slow you may end up getting less than 2 hours sleep.
On average only 25% of candidates usually make it to the end. When a recruit quits they are usually given a nice warm blanket, a warm drink like coffee and a tasty jam donut. They are then deliberately sat and paraded in front of the other recruits to tempt them to quit as well.
Lastly and perhaps most frightening, at least 11 people have died during SEALs training since 1953. The most recent was Kyle Mullen who died at the young age of 24 during hell week from bacterial pneumonia.
