ProCharger 101 Air-to-Air Intercooling

PSI, MAT, IAT, CFM...What in the world do all these mean?? In this ProCharger 101 we cover the basics of ProCharger Air-to-Air Intercooling.

It’s a simple fact of physics: cooler air makes more power. On street driven vehicles, air-to-air intercooling is a natural fit because it locates the intercooler at the front of the vehicle where it is exposed to a constant supply of cooling airflow. Engineered with large-volume air plenums, ProCharger’s air-to-air intercoolers utilize a highly effective and extremely durable bar and plate intercooler core design that provides large surface areas for superior levels of heat dispersion.

I appreciate the video, going in depth on things most people don't think about really opens up all the stuff that goes into designing intercoolers and what to look for! Thanks!

I opted for the upgraded IC for my foxbody. 3" inlet/outlet. BIGGEST one you guys offered for a Foxbody.

I love my procharger and I upgraded from the D1x to a F1a-94. Did the bigger intercooler and race valve. But I’m interested in seeing a Srt8 Jeep on your YouTube. To see what it can do with the restricted bumper in the way.

You said “clean the bugs off” how do I do that? Just soap and water? Also, is there any parasitic or detrimental affect in slapping this thing in front of the cars radiator?

I plan on getting a Procharger for my build, it's a 4.3L LV3 I'm putting in my 2000 S10 Xtreme. I thought it would cool to stay the same size liter while making a ton more power with the motor and centrifugal super chargers! I know you guys don't have a kit for it, but I'm sure I can make one work.

How is it that the intercooled air both at the inlet and outlet is colder than ambient in the first run?

Wonder what the data would be like with fans on the grille? Presumably the only cooling flow would be from the radiator fans, if they were on at the time, which isn't much. This seems more a test of the heat sink capacity of the IC as run.

Please make a kit for the VK56, my 2013 Armada is begging for supercharging but Harrop's kit is $7k

Hey, I am heavily torn between an p1x- and Maggy TVS 2650 kit for my 2017 C7 Stingray Z51 M7. The fact, that you are mixing up the declaration for your temp chanels for the second run is confusing. I am also puzzeled by the slight movement of the slips on the tensioning straps. Did you use a blower at all?
Since I don‘t see a realistic benefit in IAT over the Maggy TVS 2650 (other than what you are advertising in your Corvette product PDF) for the moment I tent to decide for the PD route. Unfortunately your sales department is not replying to my purchase request anyway. Does ProCharger offer a technical chat? Because I have to many open questions. BR from Germany

Water to Air intercoolers, with ice in the water box, should be even better.
