The only problem with this is that Landwind was NEVER a car from Zotye to begin with, as Landwind was a joint venture between ChangAn & JMC. Zotye had a copy of the Porsche Macan, & it was faster than the base Macan version for a 3rd of the price. Zotye designed a copy of the LR Sport but sold the blueprints to Hunkt & so the Canticie was born !

The stupid thing is that it would be even more fun to do your own brand, giving you the freedom to copy AND improve. Atleast now they started doing that. And like them or not, China's manufacturing saves us from being ripped off for some basic car parts that cost 10-20 times more if original.

TBH IMHO I think the Chinese just love making things .. I've seen lovely YouTube videos of Creative Chinese workers building their goods.. and my solar powered bird water fountain from TEMU is genius
