Moltres is a pretty cool pokémon, it is a very cool looking cobra

Also the idea of using it as a pseudo wall perhaps for snorlax or tauros with the use of the 33% burn rate of fire blast and rest seems interesting

The almost undisputed best tournament RBY OU player Heroic Troller actually likes Moltres a lot. He used Jynx Mie Molt EQLax Tauros; and Gar Egg Zam Molt 4attackLax and Tauros teams. Moltres is actually very hard for a lot of checks to switch into. Rhydon, Cloyster, paralyzed Starmie and Chansey can’t actually switch in safely due to Fire Blast’s absurd damage and burn chance

Interesting thing to think about, but out of the kanto birds zapdos is almost always an ou staple while moltres and articuno struggle to keep up

Fire blast burn rate in gen 1 is good, but also bad.
You burn tauros, snorlax or rhydon? Great, however, a starmie or zam that doesnt have to worry about other status effects are scary.
