PLOT: When Cindy (Elaine Bromka) and her husband, Bob (Garrett M. Brown), have to leave town for a family emergency, there is only one person available to babysit for their three kids: Bob's lazy, carefree brother, Buck (John Candy). While he immediately gets along with the two younger children (Gaby Hoffman, Macaulay Culkin), Buck must change his bachelor lifestyle if he wants to be a responsible caregiver for the angst-filled teenager, Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly).

John Candy was and will always be a beloved Hollywood legend. Loved practically any movie he was in. This is one of my faves. He nails the character.

Despite Uncle Bucks "irresponsible, off the cuff" behavior, he really had a good heart, protected & watched after those kids, & school kids like they were his own. The kids loved Uncle Buck. A really heartwarming movie about Family. Uncle Buck reminds me of a cross between a Golden Retriever, St. Bernard & Rottweiler. He's so funny, Loving, kind and a Gentle but Fierce Protector. I really miss John Candy so much.😢
