I recently bought a chain that was already ptlux plated.

I want to get my chain to oxidize a little. Is there any way to remove the ptlux (some type of solution maybe?) other than polishing it to remove it?

Thanks!

What temperature is the platinum solution used?

Maybe it was just the lighting, but the finished piece looks oxidized to me. Not even close to a nice rhodium finish.

According to the TDS, the optimum operating temperature of the electrolyte is 35 degrees Celsius. At what temperature do you work?

I just got a p.lux chain thinking it was rhodium plated like my other chains. How long does this last compared to rhodium plating?
