Frame locks sometimes referred to as wheel clamps and cafe clamps are an excellent way to immobilise your electric bike. Commonly included as a standard component on many European bikes, frame locks prevent bikes from being ridden or walked away by bike thieves.

When paired with a plug in chain, frame locks provide an additional level of protection from bike theft.

I wanted to see you locking the bike to a post on the street so I can see how it works.

Why on Earth are bike locks designed so the key has to stay in the lock while biking? 1) You can't keep the key on a keychain with the rest of your keys, 2) Much higher risk of breaking the key in the lock, 3) Forget to lock it and the thief has it all. Only purpose I can think of is planned obsolescence - you are definitely much more likely to lose/break your keys this way.

I would like some help in how to take the AXA lock OFF my Gazelle. Abus better set up because you don't have to leave key in lock!

Thank you very much for the video. I have a problem where when the lock (AXA Frame Cafe lock that came with my Gazelle) is in the locked position the key is stuck ( I cannot remove it). I also noticed that it does not completely click (as it did with your bike) when locked so the key seems to be at an angle once locked. I have been able to remove it just once by sheer luck. Not sure what to do to fix it. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you!
