I've had my Sentinel medium 150 150 since the beginning of 2021 and have put 1100 miles and 76000 feet of climbing on it I think it climbs great and down Hills corners and everything great all Mountain bike loving it

Loving my V2 Sentinel. It's perfect for the long, steep, rocky, rooty, technical trails that take effort to climb to here in the PNW.

Really enjoy your reviews. Got that hip pack back in the spring. Everything you mentioned is spot on. Don’t even notice it’s there while riding.

Awesome just picked up a XO1 Sentinel today and snagged a hip pack after watching the video. Super amped, also moving to Salt Lake in a few months and loving seeing the trails. See you out there!

So glad you were able to finally get on a Transition!!! Hoping to see you demo the new Santa Cruz Bronson mullet!!

4:41 I wonder if you're feeling more the Transition suspension or the FOX fork pumping under uphill pedaling? I think sometimes a frame gets blamed for the fork absorbing energy.

Great review .. love my sentinel as my daily driver in the rough trails of Pisgah…and yeah, much more playful than you would expect once you learn to carve the bike in corners and ride it dynamically..

Thanks for your reviews, I can understand how any bike behaves without getting off the couch, it's cool! How well the comparison with other bikes complements the picture!

I bet your videos have sold a lot of Lab Austere packs. I bought one after watching one of your videos and have since bought two more for my kids. I might buy another one to save as a backup in case they stop making them. The best hip pack I've ever used. It's awesome that they do a discount for your viewers and also support your video.

Transition bikes are some of the best bikes I've ridden. Their SBG/Giddyup geometry really does work. It's very slack up front with tons of trail with the reduced offset fork. Some bikes get squirrely when going fast esp when going down really gnarly sections where it wants to yank your bars off your riding line. Transition bikes want to keep going straight and have a heavier steering feel and it will make you feel a lot safer going down those techy, gnarly sections or simply riding at a higher speed.

If this bike had a longer chainstay, it would not work as the geo at the front already combats excessive steering, however the very short chainstays really work with the front to restore the nimbleness this bike needs.

However for anyone not used to this bike may notice it feels awkward at very slow speeds, like low speed really twisty sections require more labor to get by compared to other bikes with a lighter, looser steering feel.

This is the bike to get if you want more stability on the straights and coming out of corners with more confidence. It rewards the kind of rider that provides more input (shifts body weight a tiny bit more) than with other bikes.

Totally agree with you in the traction on the corners, and me as well as your buddy i saw, have lowered the stem down to the frame. I believe that comments for more weight on the front while riding because of the washouts on the turns, was made having the stem all the way to the top of the steerer. As for climbing i believe it pedals better than the sb-130 that i had, on more relaxed climbs because of the geometry but not faster if you push (yeti's infinity platform outperforms everything else on that). Its a review that i really liked because you saw everything i saw and makes me feel good about my decision and buy a Senti. Thank you !

9:02 Sounds like a true Enduro bike but with snappier climbing & handling than most others.

Killer review.. Been waiting on a Sentinel for nearly a year now. Was first told April but the dates just keep getting pushed back and back. Potentially found a Spire that might be available in the next few weeks which is tempting, but just can't justify pedaling that big of a bike around for 30+ mile 5, 000 ft days in the mountains. Your review has me chomping at the bit to get mine!

Great to see another review! Would love to see the Transition Scout and maybe the new Evil Insurgent?

Great review. I like the follow view of Tyler at the end. Look like a big bike for sure, too much bike for me but I really like transition bikes they have been a bit of a leader with geo changes.

Great review as always, thanks Jason! BTW, I'm still enjoying the LA hip pack since more than a year ago, thanks to you )
Just wondering, why did you buy a Ripmo again? Especially with an Altitude already in your quiver?
