Just wanted to test out lighting and camera angles and whatnot. Hope you guys like it, spent a lot of time on this!

Fun to do tests like this, great way to improve certain areas without having to commit to a huge continuous project.

It looks like you've got staging, lighting, and camera work all down to a science, but as far as I can tell all you really need is color correction. Make the black shadows in the scene really black, and the whites really white. CC goes a long way in making videos look more cinematic. Color grading helps a ton too. So just pop your clips into Final Cut, Premier, or, best of all, After Effects and mess with the curves or levels a bit. That's what I always do now a days. Keep up the great work too.

This is absolutely beautiful. The lighting and the movements give each scene such an amazing atmosphere. Like a peaceful moment out of each of the hectic worlds.

I think the three things that set these clips apart from most others are the camera placements, lighting and movement. The creator has practically perfected the movement of the characters. They don't look robotic and jerky like in a lot of other SFM animation. Hats off to the animator(s), truly inspiring work.

Going from 2:05 to 2:09 with the music getting calmer, suddenly seeing Alyx holding her dad on the ground hit me pretty hard.
I think it's because Valve never continued the story and left fans in the same position as Alyx and Eli, holding something dear that will never return.
The end of Episode 2 was perfectly set up to start the non-existing Episode 3,
something that fans are waiting for or already gave up on.

It will probably sound overly dramatic to some people, but that part in this video just hurt me.
