China's 2nd Amphibious Assault Ship, Type-075 conducts sea trials.
Type-075 is an Advanced Landing Helicopter Dock constructed by China. This vessel will allow the Chinese navy to launch various types of helicopters to attack naval vessels, enemy ground forces or sub-marines. According to reports, it will be able to accommodate between 28 and 30 helicopters.
The vessels will also be able to deploy landing craft and troops plus house command and control operations.
It has a full-length flight deck for helicopter operations and features a floodable well deck from which to disembark hovercraft and armored amphibious assault vehicles.
It will be able to operate Z-8 and Z-9 Helicopter series. They may also operate Z-20 series in the future as well.
