Tipping Point | A quick look at extreme weather events in 2024

As 2024 comes to an end, we take a quick look at a few extreme weather events that occurred over the year, many of which were made worse by human-induced climate change. We also discuss the new greenhouse gas emissions reduction target announced by the United States as its new Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement. Our climate hope story this week is Siddhesh Sakore's agroforestry initiative. He has also been selected as one of the 2024 UNCCD Land Heroes.
