I bought the gen 1 several years ago. Judging by this video, I am impressed with the changes. Especially with the sides sagging when loaded down. The new lacing adjustment system seems awesome. However I would start from the bottom so that the excess string wouldn't come out of the bottom. Overall I would probably buy this gen 2 when my gen 1 wears out. But Condor makes such a durable product that it will take awhile!

Bought this for my brother this Christmas, and it's a good starting point for his first kit.

One point I like to add is that the cummberbund has space for soft body inserts, but the side plates are seperate.

I love the addition of having the mag inserts and the soft body armor coverage is a step in the right direction.

hey CONDOR...why so many people hate on your products? I've had a plate carrier similar to this one in video for the last 8 years. its been on some 30 something MilSim ops, deployed once with it, 2x JRTC's and like 6 local exercises with 101st....and its still kicking...so why do people think its bad?
