Otherwise, this is a great little CUV, they start around 28k, are a top safety pick, punch above their class in handling and material quality, and are rather pleasing to look at! The CX5 competes against the Subaru Forester, Honda CRV, and Toyota RAV4 to name a few. It’s a tad bit smaller but an equally potent family hauling option! This premium is fairly loaded with features such as heated leather seats.

My wife drives a ‘22 CX-5 Turbo. The perfect size vehicle for her (us) and our Boxers. She previously drove a CX-9 GT and before that an ‘18 Mazda6 Signature. Mazda builds GREAT cars. We have a ‘21 MX-5 RF Club too. We are big Mazda fans!

Last year i bought a used 15 cx5 2.5 coming from a 2008 outlander 2.4,
I can say the quality and driving experience is way more better with the mazda., now its 141 k miles odo no problems so far just regular maintenance, , my next will sure be the next generation of cx5s they are really fun to drive...

I just bought the 2023 Premium and I have the power lift gate and no start stop function on mine which I am glad it doesn’t have. The brake hold is really cool to have and I use it a lot. So far I love this car.

Great review, we just bought a 2023 CX-5 in preferred package for my wife and it is a beautiful CUV in every aspect, Mazda is becoming a serious contender in this segment with high quality vehicles and i am a technician and i know quality .

The CX-5 is a simple, elegant design that has aged well over the years. I also love how Mazda has gone the route of creating a simple, modernized-design (SkyActiv) 6-speed automatic that performs much better than geared automatics of yesteryear, & hasn't gone the cheaper, more-fragile belt/chain design CVT route that pretty much all other automakers have done for most of their vehicles. I almost bought a CX-5 Carbon in early 2022, but it was a bit too large for my taste, so I opted for the equally-impressive, but smaller/sleeker CX-30 Carbon instead.

Nice presentation. I am debating whether to get a Premium or Preferred. Does the difference in tire size (19" vs 17") make huge difference in driving experience? Also, you mention that Premium does not have power liftgate as PP does. Does it have heated side mirror and heated steering wheel?
