Great video! As a Pole, I was not aware that Milk Bars actually were set up much earlier than after 1945. Leniwe dumplings are actually covered by sweetened buttered breadcrumbs not just sugar :)

1:29 I do, truly do, appreciate the effort you made with learning how to pronounce Polish names/words. It's damn hard, I'm aware. Maybe it's subjective, but you did fckinf magnificent job here. Almost without a trace of foreign accent, which is extremely rare.
Whole basic concept of a milk bar is very well explained. Gov adds a bit to the ingredients cost, but caps the profit margin. Simple, yet (regulatory wise) complicated.

Milk bars are embedded in Polish culture/heritage as much as pubs or fish bars in British or diners in USoA's.

Thanks for the comprehensive content. Chapeau bas!

You made great material. The only thing missing is a mocking scene from the cult comedy Miś.

Bar Mleczny doesn't mean "milk bar"; that means very cheap restaurants for poor people. It's Mleczny because Polish people eat milk soup or drink milk for breakfast. That is national name, can't be translated to english
