All Tailed Beasts Explained (Naruto)

There are so many memorable things about the Naruto anime that people mention. A very important plot point that I feel doesn’t often get talked about much, in regards to the anime, are the Tailed Beasts. Despite being the single most important plot element for the series, the Tailed Beasts aren’t quite as iconic as, say, the Sharingan. If I’ll be honest, I sometimes feel like out of anime, people recognize Naruto more for his connection to toads than his connection to the Nine-Tails. Why is that? Well, for my own opinion, I feel like this is because the Tailed Beasts, while talked about a lot, are rarely seen in the physical. And whenever they are seen, they’re portrayed to the viewers as villains. I mean, when one thinks of Link, they don’t automatically think if Ganondorf, they think of the Master Sword, and the Hylian Shield and the Ocarina of Time. I feel the same is true here. The Tailed Beasts, despite their presence and importance to the story, are mostly censored in people’s minds from the protagonists, likely because our positive main hero possesses within himself a pessimistic demon. Honestly, I could go into the psychology and philosophical meaning of this contrast, but I’ll spare you. I think, however, that the Tailed Beasts should be celebrated. They may not be as universally recognizable as, say, the sharingan, but they’re still important and deserve their due amount of recognition. So let’s start the video. But first, I would like to say…

Was it a legitimate move for Kushuna to SPLIT Kurama, or was it a mistake in storytelling? You would think he would have given Naruto the good half. Naruto can share Kurama's chakra. However, Kurama's identity just looks like bad writing, just like hashira cells and talk no jutsu.

What we are missing are the backstories of the Tailed Beasts from from after Hagoromo's death to the founding of the Villages

If Naruto didn't seal both Yin and Yang half of Kurama inside him after 4th shinobi war, he would have one of the tailed beast in him even after Bryon Mode. So sad.

So many cool great creatures in Naruto there’s the Moryo, zero tails, satori, if you included the games even more cool things like the 3 heads creature and the legendary Genryu ( I know the whole but not canon”) they are cool though and I think you could fun with things like them for stories

24:50 The reason sailors kept one eye closed: on deck of a ship is bright sunlight, both from sky and reflected on the water. to quickly transfer from up top to below deck in the dark would leave you blind until your eyes adjust.. In high seas combat you didn't have that kinda time.. Hence why sailors kept one eye closed, it was already adjusted to the dark and they need to merely switch eyes without having to wait for them to adjust

The Gedo statue should work like the Elder Wand from Harry Potter sure anyone could wield it but only its true Master can bring out its full power. Characters like Nagato and Obito may have Rinnegan but they're restricted to a in what they can and can't make it do

There's clearly a whole lot of material that Kishimoto could've used in regards to the tailed beasts but instead they had to be macguffins for the secondary antagonist to collect Pokemon Style

Correction:at 15:26 you say that hagoromo appears and captured the 8 tail to sell to the cloud village that was not hagoromo that was hashirama just like most other tailed beast
