I hate to be the only downer among the commenters here, but I loved Atlanta the old way. Turning Atlanta into another "plate race" just appeals to that segment of fandom who watch NASCAR for the wrecks, which are pretty much guaranteed with pack racing, like you get on super speedways. Congrats to young Mr. Bryon, he did a good job to avoid the carnage.

All Nascar had to do was stick with the next gen regular aero package and the racing still would have been fine with handling still at play. All they ever want is cars bunch up and no skill to drive these. This kind of racing is enough at daytona and talladega 4 times a year.
