FLORENCE Presents: Arto Saari

After 20 years of pushing skateboarding forward, former Thrasher Skater of the Year Arto Saari was looking for what was next. 

Surfing – and increasingly, photography – began to take focus. His main subject: the North Shore Bike Path and its community that frequented this iconic thoroughfare. 

His new photo book 'Bike Path' – and the entire Bike Path Collection – celebrate this iconic connection point of the North Shore community.

So funny Arto ended up in Hawaii on the NS taking pics of surfing. I remember when he popped into the skate scene overnight from Europe and was making a name for himself in CA.
