What I love about this parody is that it would have been so easy to make Elmo uncharacteristically yell and swear throughout, but they kept him as much in character as possible without relying on edgy “jokes” as humor, and more so comes from his child like demeanor to an adult situation.

I was confused at first. It said parody, but that impersonation and puppet was spot on, and it felt like an actual PSA straight from PBS. Great work!

When the hand was removed Elmo realized he was really a human all along, wearing a disguisive garment trying to make his life more interesting. Alas, his dreams were bereft of him, and he lost his red cottony body, with his soul disappearing back into the organic human brain that had conceived him.
