I got the sprouter about 5 months ago. I was really pleased at first, but then, when I bought the other level to grow more sprouts, it started getting mouldy. That's probably because the water is not drained well enough. I think I'll need to come back to using just one level to be successful. But at least I'll eat some sprouts. So, if you're considering buying Freshlife, choose the option with one level only.

I only use distilled water and add a few drops of food grade peroxide in mine.

I also do that same process for my small ice maker.

As a result I never have a mold issue with either.
