This is exactly how i feel about my daughter. I adopted her which means i sought her out, the had no say in it, she was 2, and she owes me nothing. She is 18 now and has been the best daughter ever and honestly saved me from the depression i was on the verge of tumbling into at the time. I can't imagine not having her in my life and i am extremely blessed

I like when parents acknowledge this instead of saying “I gave you the gift of life” like life is not a gift it’s torture. My parents tell me everyday when I get out in the real world it’s gonna be worse than my school life and I’ll regret everything negative I said about school and miss school but that’s not the case. I hate school and going from a bad situation to a worse situation does not automatically cancel out the bad one. I’ll have to work everyday for the rest of my life because of them and conform to a society that doesn’t care about its people 💀
