FINDING VOLUMES OF SOLIDS OF ROTATION USING THE SHELL METHOD. In this video, I will demonstrate the shell method to find the volume of a region rotated about a horizontal axis using the method of cylindrical shells. Although this is not a topic tested on either the AP Calculus AB or BC exams, it is a good follow-up to the Disk and Washer Methods and is commonly taught at the college level in Calculus 2.
