I gave my S22U to my mother, and got the iPhone 13PM. I learned that I much prefer Android, but I couldn't justify another S22U because of the battery life - it was perfect apart from that, in my opinion. I am so pleased to see these reviews of the S23U, especially in regards to battery. I am glad to see Samsung is focusing less on grand innovations each year and more in improving and perfecting what is working so well. I'll be selling my iPhone 13PM while the resale value is still so high, and ordering my S23U later this week. So excited for the more squared off edges! I do understand why a lot of people like the iPhone, but it's definitely Samsung for me!

The charging is actually pretty fast. The sad thing is, you have to buy a 5A type C cable and a 45W charger separately. You'll know it's Superfast Charging 2.0 when you plug it in and the charging animation is color blue instead of green.

You really had to dig deep to find negatives about this phone. I've had mine for a week and I just love it. It does everything so well.
Photos are amazing as well as videos. Oh yeah, it's a good at telephoning also.

The S23 does NOT use 50GB for system data. The system is actually only 20GB in size.

Just switched from my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’m in love! I have an Apple ecosystem and will probably keep it around since it’s expensive to fully transition everything. I thought I was gonna regret switching but I’m learning new tricks everyday with the s23 ultra that I can’t do with my old phone. Perhaps the new experiences is captivating my attention as Apple has seem to be stagnant on their small upgrades for me. Definitely a game changer for me. I wish Apple would do a huge upgrade instead of perfecting changes and pushing out new products that isn’t worth my money. I do have to say apps on the Apple are so much better.

Samsung's actual system usage is a bit of a trick. Because of the conceptual difference between binary and decimal, your smartphone's 256GB of storage, like your computer's, actually has 238GB of usable storage, and Samsung has labeled that 18GB difference as system capacity. Otherwise, people would have complained about why their smartphone only has 238GB when it has 256GB.

Long term apple fanboy here. I've left iOS for the S23 Ultra and I really don't regret it. There are a couple of things I miss, I think the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is not as good as the Apple watch (touch sensitivity and UI design is a little unpolished in places) and I actually prefer the notifications being readable on iOS 16 on the Always On Display. However, this is pretty minor stuff. The Snap Dragon S23U is so much better this year compared to the Exynos S22U, Apple for me has kind of stagnated of late and need to break out once again, I found the 14 Pro Max a disappointing phone (products that Covid built?) and iOS 16 had far more bugs that it should have.

I have an S22U so I'll get a 24 or a 25. I'm hoping they increase the 10x optical to a 48mp camera, so they can pixel bin and digitally crop 2x zoom as 12mp native. Beyond that IDK what else there is to improve. My 8gen1 S22U does everything I could want of it and more. I agree about the bloatware, it's not such a big deal because I only use my home screens, not the app drawer.

I had one, and it was a great phone, but you're right in saying that the little details matter. For me, the deal breakers were that the fingerprint scanner wasn't all that consistent (and I registered both thumbs three times), despite generally great performance, there was a fair bit of lag when going into and exiting the camera app, and connection to Android Auto wasn't consistent either. I also had that S Pen disconnection issue you mentioned near the start of the video. So a great phone in my opinion, but not consistent enough in some key areas, for me.

For the first time I'm gonna try a Samsung phone. I've been a Sony Xperia fan, but with disappointments, I'm contemplating jumping into Samsung S23 ultra. Excited for real. Good review @asbyt
