So many key components left out of this equation. Canada already produces arms through General Dynamics. Saab has already said it will build a plant in Canada to produce the Gripen. Canada has the money, manpower and resources to produce a lot of military arms.
Many countries, including Canada are also cancelling remaining F35's. We're only committed to 16 of 80. The US is quickly running out of countries to sell arms to.
Canada is also part of the Commonwealth, and as much as the Commonwealth got left out of this, that's a huge factor if joining with the EU.
Also, Russia is down to about 1500 tanks. They've lost almost 9000 to Ukraine so far. They're pulling parts and looking at Soviet era tanks to try and keep going. Russia is also struggling financially with the war because of sanctions against them.
This wouldn't be the cake walk that is portrayed in this video.
