Antonio, you are your brand. Your voice is your brand. Don’t loose your brand with another voice.

Breaking in new jeans is something I really dread.

You should also wash t-shirts with images on them inside-out to preserve the image.

Yes i have a spray bottle with fabric conditioner so i spray the insides of my jeans every time i go back from work. Saves it from frequent washing. Thanks for this article i needed this! I love jeans

+ important... use only a liquid soft (dark) detergent than the aggressive powder. And added a fabric softener (better with oils) for a shiner and smoother jean.

Good video and format, me being me, I was "offended" by that iorn lol, using a Rowenta Iorn with any 400+ or better soul plate will greatly improve your iorning and not leave jeans or any other fabric (on the right setting) shiny.

I dunno. Maybe because I came of age in the 80s, I don't get this whole don't wash your jeans thing. Back then, the goal was to get that worn faded look as soon as possible. Everybody had his or her own method to distress your jeans, but usually involved bleach, vinegar, or even sandpaper. . I just washed mine in hot water a few times with detergent, then washed them frequently until they faded to the color I liked. Then by the mid 80s they started selling pre faded jeans and all that stuff people did to fade their jeans was mostly forgotten.
Now apparently, people prize that almost new dark indigo look, or maybe they want high contrast as the jeans wear, and you can't get that if your jeans fade because of frequent washing.
Anyway, for those who never wash their jeans, that is kind of gross. Maybe just me, but I can usually tell when my jeans need a good wash. When I wore my jeans a couple of times per week, I usually washed them every couple of weeks. That was about 4 or 5 wears between washing. More frequently in the summer if I wore my jeans. These days, I only wear them on weekends or maybe just at night after work for a couple of hours, I usually can get by washing them every 3 or 4 weeks. and no, freezing your jeans won't do anything to kill germs. Because if freezing clothes killed germs, we would all have giant freezers for laundry instead of washing machines, and we would only wash clothes when they got extremely dirty.

Unless spot cleaning a stain, ALWAYS invert your clothing when washing them (inside out). Additionally, pre treat the cuffs + collar of your shirts (cuffs both inside + outside). I despise getting a shirt from the dry cleaners with dirty or stained collar + cuffs!!!

Well I be damned, I’ve washed my jeans a handleful of times since owning them and I wear them almost every day. I’ve had them 2+ years now and never thought they needed washing as they never smell and I can just wipe off dirt if needed. Am I the only one?!

I don't wash my jeans unless absolutely necessary...but I do throw them in the dryer to kill bacteria. I didn't know that could also damage the jeans

For all those still going through puberty, wash them every three wears. After you stop having those puberty sweats, they stay clean much longer and you can usually wear them for a full week.

The 8th thing destroying jeans that any guy with big or muscular thighs can attest to is the fabric discoloring and wearing out where the thighs rub against each other. Always a source of angst.

I don’t wear jeans often but, when I do, I take them off after wearing, turn them inside-out, then drape them over the shower enclosure (or tub) to dry out any perspiration and eliminate any odor, then hang them back in the closet. In fact I do that with all the pants I have; i.e., slacks, chinos, corduroy. Can’t remember the last time I washed any jeans but then… I’m not a mechanic, farmer, lumberjack, etc.

for me, the more faded, the more fraid, torn, the better, as long as the jeans are still functional with pockets. growing up through the 80s caused
me to like them like that
