We are all almost the same. We all think, feel, fear and love. How we do those vary quite a bit. We think different thoughts, we have different fears and love different things. Objects are different, but the subjects are, dare we say, one?

Population genetics has shown distinct genetic clusters across the world, you could call them races, or populations, extended kin groups, whatever is least offensive. Ethnic groups are extended families who are genetically very closely related. If race was fake, then how are companies like 23 and me about to tell us where our ancestors are from? From DNA alone, we can tell if your ancestors were from Ireland or Kenya or Japan or India, and even which region of these countries. Different races were created by us being isolated from each other and evolving in different environments. There are lots of genetic differences between the races, and also lots of genetic differences between individuals. This whole %1 difference thing is very misleading, a single nucleotide difference can be the difference been life and death or a debilitating disease.

There is no need to lie about our differences. I thought we were supposed to celebrate diversity, not deny it. Humans do come in different races, that is wonderful, we are a beautiful species with lots of biodiversity. I don't understand why you would want to say we are all a homogeneous non-diverse blob of humans. I think it is wrong to deny the uniqueness of other peoples and their unique genetics.
