Skar Audio Subwoofer Vd10 Shallow Mount

Just got my skar subwoofer. great quality for the price.

I put my 2 ohm VD-10 inside a ported Dual SBX100 box, and a bit of trimming was required as well. My 825 watt amp was a bit too much for the poor little Dual sub. It didn't blow up entirely, it just started to sound like crap.

Mine came in yesterday and I also purchased shallow super tweeters and shallow 6.5 and a 1000 amp and can't wait to install in my single cab Toyota Tacoma

Does having a shallow mount in a big 20 square inch box is a problem? Does having it in a small box like yours hit bass lines just as effective as a regular subwoofer would hit in a normal square box? I ordered a Shallow mount and I don’t want to regret it. Does putting cotton in the box helps with taking away the space to get a better bass line?

I had 2 10 inch ddx skars and a 2000.1 rp skar in one of my reg cab right behind the seat
