As a secondary phone, I do use an iPhone 8 plus and I think that I could still recommend the 8 plus in 2022. Now the 5C, would we recommend you go out and buy a 5C? The obvious answer is absolutely not.

I chose this over the 5S 0 regret. I had an iphone 4 so it was still a big upgrade at the time & the fun cases! I had my 5C for 2 years 0 issues & it fell in ocean off a jet ski. That iphone 5C I had was the only Iphone in my iphones that never had one issue, and I put that phone through hell & back lol.

You can't use it with stock but yeah a jailbroken iphone 5c would be worth it to use and still this phone has great camera btw

I used to have an iPhone 5c in blue. I had it for a little bit over 3 years. I got it in late July 2014. I upgraded to iPhone 8 in November 2017. I still have the iPhone 8 in silver grey just as a back up to iPhone SE 2 in white. The SE one that I have a little bit over 2 years. My next iPhone will be iPhone 14 in purple. My current iPhone almost looks like iPhone 5c in white.

I remember this phone being sold where I work with only 8gb of storage. 8gb of storage was bad for an MP3 player even back then, let alone a phone to hold apps, photos, videos etc.

I don't think I remember ever seeing one of these ever get sold because of the 8gb of storage and the high price.

It's a shame though, because I think this is the nicest looking iphone created.

Oh my goodness this was the first phone I ever had and when I had it as a kid back in late 2014 it was pretty good for a cheap phone also btw Im pretty sure only Samsung's midrange phones (2021-) have plastic backs
