Cleaning and caring for a polycarbonate windshield requires a very specific technique. Polycarbonate might be stronger than glass, but unless it’s hard coated, poly collects scratches more easily. That’s why you can’t just grab some Windex and bunched-up paper towels and go at it all willy-nilly. If you want your polycarbonate windshield to stay clean and pristine, there are some “dos” and “don’ts” that you should know.

I have the Super Atv Maxdrive windsheild and the instructions say you can use rubbing alcohol to clean. Am i ruining my windshield?

I spent $580 on a polycarbonate windshield for my x3, went mudding an got scratched to absolute shit. Buying glass from now on

is that not hard coated? I would never run poly uncoated in the front, rear maybe, but not front. If it is coated, this much care and carefullness isint needed.

Well what is gentle dish soap, i think the majority of people come here to find out what product to use, the rest is somewhat intuitive... dawn dish soap to me isn't "gentle" dish soap as it has chemicals in it that strip wax and other protective coatings off of paint, so what is gentle dish soap, can you just tell us what you used or at least hint at it?
