This lesson covers how to classify different types of triangles based on their angle measurements and side lengths. This covers equilateral, isosceles, scalent, acute, obtuse, and right triangles. There are three ways to classify triangles by their side lengths (Equilateral, Isosceles, and Scalene) and there are three ways to classify triangles by their angle measurements (Right, Acute, and Obtuse). Triangle-sum theorem is also taught in this lesson.

You classify by angles even without trigonometry. You do a^2+ b^2 and compare it to c^2 (where c is your largest side). If c^2 is less than the other two squared and added, then it is an acute triangle. If it is equal, then it is a right triangle. If it is greater than, then it is an obtuse triangle.
