I am doing the free workshop tomorrow to decide if I think I have the chutzpah to even do this. I never finished college. Right now I’m on the cusp of turning 40 and I have a myriad of health issues that make working a traditional job more difficult. I’m wondering if it’s possible to get a job as a developer and sustain yourself.

hattest du vor deiner Teilnahme an den Workshops bereits Erfahrungen im Coding oder hast einen beruflichen Hintergrund in der Tech Branche? bin am Überlegen den Max Workshop zu buchen mit absolut zero Hintergrund :D arbeite hauptberuflich in der Produktion und seit etwa einem Jahr nebenberuflich selbständig als Copywriterin. hab aber gemerkt, dass ich das Schreiben für andere nicht so liebe wie als "persönliches kreatives Ventil".

jetzt überlege ich schon seit ein paar Monaten das Gewerbe wieder abzumelden und was neues zu starten. mich würde vor allem interessieren, wie so ein Frontend Engineer Projekt typischerweise abläuft. In den meisten Videos sprechen die Leute nur darüber, welche Languages, Programme etc. sie verwenden, aber keiner zeigt so wirklich wie der Alltag aussieht. Mit wem arbeite ich zusammen? Wer gibt Vor- und Angaben? Wie schwierig (oder leicht) ist es mit wenig Anweisung/viel Freiheit zu coden? Woran würde ich einen "guten" Coder erkennen, woran einen "schlechten"? Es wird oft von "Problem solving" gesprochen - um was für Probleme geht es da?

I know, ziemlich viele Fragen, aber vllt. hast du ja die Zeit und Lust mir ein paar insights zu dem Thema zu geben, damit ich eine etwas genauere Vorstellung davon habe wie ein Arbeitsalltag als Coder aussehen könnte. würde mich auf jeden Fall sehr freuen!!
