He can also sing in Dwarvish (Misty Mountains cover). Also on a fun note, someone asked how he gets the low notes and his response was hangover.
Edit: His song "Where I Belong" is an original by him in the style of Disney.

Oh I wouldn't be sure about that part with Old Norse not being Colm's native language, because he sure sounds like he was an actual Viking and just teleported into modern times to grace us with his music 😂

I love how you can appreciate my people's music. This type of music goes back centuries, just sounds even better today.

His name is pronounced Kuh-lum per his tweet. I am so happy to find someone else who recognizes his awesomeness and detail in production of beautiful music.

OMG you need to react to his cover of Hoist the colors. It is absolutely gut wrenching. the shorter acapela version is better.

This music speaks to me other than just my ears. It speaks to my heart and soul as my ancestors were vikings. We traced our roots directly to them.

I love this song so much that I have it permanently on my desk top and play it every day, I noticed that when he sings the line "give me mair" that it sounded like what we would say in Scotland meaning give me more, so Iistened to the English version and it does mean give me more. Loved your reaction to this song

If you’re want more of Old Norse from Colm, listen to his cover of “My mother told me” in Old Norse. It’s about as lit as this is

I've never heard this song before, and I'm SO happy that it was Colm's version that I heard first! Talk about growing some chest hair...😳🎶

Colm is absolutely wonderful artist with a wild vocal range. His music is so relaxing to listen to well most of it is, depends on what you consider relaxing.

It‘s so funny watching you reacting to his low vocal range singing while I‘m thinking you have a pretty damn low range voice as well haha xD I enjoy watching this :)

depending on how you look at it, Old Norse is still alive as Icelandic, since Modern Icelandic is pretty similar to the Icelandic dialect of Old Norse from around 1200. as far as i know, it's the only dialect of Old Norse that stayed true to its roots. Modern Icelandic and Old Norse are so similar that a text written in the 1200's can be read, for the most part, by pretty much any Icelandic person as long as the text is first transcribed into the Latin alphabet.

Fever Ray’s “if I had a heart” is one of my fav songs (that whole album is great). I hadn’t heard this version before tho. I’m def going to have to listen a few more times to see if I like it as much as the og “if I had a heart”.

His pronunciation is quite spot on. Im swedish myself but as a dead launguage the language closest to old norse in modern times is Icelandic. He makes it sound authentic

This song is just haunting and dark, the first words literally translate to "this will never end because I want more, more, give me more, give me more."
It's a song about a love with no love in them.
