As a country, we’ve been through much in a short span of 246 years (in comparative time frame to other nations of equal standing). We’ve accomplished great things, but we’ve also committed great atrocities against our own people.
We’ve fought a Civil War, two World Wars, Dealt with several civil rights issues, a Great Depression, invented the Atomic bomb, the automobile, the airplane, and gone to space.
And most of that in just the last century.
It’s sad to think all these great achievements could be destroyed by the Trump-Biden Era of Political dissidence and our inability to compromise and agree on even simplest of things.
I understand many of the problems we face currently predate Trump and Biden being President, but Both have given the American people renewed vigor of our political problems as a country.
If Trump did nothing else, he made people pay attention to politics, which is otherwise boring and uneventful.
Hopefully we can survive this tumultuous time and be stronger for it in the end.
